Eins og við vitum fáum við ársins skemmtilegustu kreditkorta reikninganna um mánaðarmótin. Hinsvegar er það afstætt hvað hár kreditkorta reikningur sé í raun (sjá frétt að neðan).

Einnig var ég að pæla hvort við gætum lokað búllunni, Íslandi í smá tíma eftir þessi mánaðarmót. Hvers vegna...jú...þeir svaka ríku einu sinni gaurar eru nú allir blankir...þó svo engin viðurkenni það....og hin almenni launþegi verpur nú líka blankur.

American Express' credit card motto may be "Don't leave home without it," but a Minnesota car dealer may have gone too far, allegedly owing millions in charges.

The credit card company is suing Forest Lake Ford President John D. Berken in federal court for allegedly failing to pay back $3.85 million it says he took out in $90,000 increments throughout October and November, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reported Tuesday.

Berken, 39, said the civil lawsuit filed Friday caught him off guard.

"It's the first I've heard of it. As far as I know, we're up to date" in making payments, he said. "The last charge was for $200,000, and we made it like clockwork."

A search of public records showed no criminal charges against Berken, the newspaper said. However, the Pioneer Press said state records indicate a man named John D. Berken with the same birth date as the Forest Lake car dealer has several check-forgery and theft convictions on his record and served about 20 months in prison in the mid-1990s. Berken said that's not him.

An attorney for American Express said the company generally does not talk about pending litigation.

Síðasta blogg var skrifað í nýársþynnku og ekki gott blogg. Hinsvegar er nýtt ár hafið og ég held að þetta verpi magnað ár. Við höfum gert svaka flotta hluti....svona almennt...við öll.

Lífsgæðin hafa batnað, kaupmáttur gæti verið betri en mjög lítið atvinnuleysi.

Nú hlustum við ekki á eitthvað væl í hlutabréfaþunglyndis mönnum...við höldum áfram að kaupa og selja góðar vörur, förum í skemmtileg frí og njótum náttúrunnar. 2008 verður frábært!!!

Þá kom í ljós að akkúrat 766 Toyota Land Cruiser bílar eru á söluskrá og heildarsöluverðmæti 3 milljarðar..17 milljónir..768...þúsund. Meðalverð ca. 4 milljónir, sá dýrasti c.a 9 milljónir og sá ódýrasti undir 2 milljónum.

Við erum nú orðinn 330.000 á íslandi og á síðasta ári seldust ca. 60 Range Rover Sport og ca. 40 Range Rover samkv. sölutölunum bgs.is

Flest okkar (meðal íslendingar) erum ekki í þeirri stöðu að eiga yfir 100+ milljónir á debit kortinu, en má gera ráð fyrir að af okkur 330.000 eiga 2000 manns þessar 100+ milljónir. Þó svo að 300 af þessum 2000 mundu staðgreiða flottustu jeppa í heimi á yfir 15 milljónir þá fyndist mér það ekkert stór mál. Við erum einfaldlega hægt og rólega að breytast úr smáþorpi í meðalstórt fjörbreytt samfélag þar sem ýmislegt gerist og verður til án þess að nágrannar geri sér grein fyrir því.

Ég tel því að 200 Land Rover Range Rover á sölu sé lélegasta forsíðufrétt Fréttablaðsins á árinu og það 31.des. 2007.

A zoo in Germany has scrapped its plans to break up homosexual penguin couples after gay rights groups protested against it.

The Bremerhaven Zoo had noticed that three penguin couples turned out to be all male. In an attempt to encourage the penguins to reproduce the zoo had flown in four female penguins.

The plan was too introduce the female birds too the male which would hopefully lead to the endangered species reproducing, but the zoo abandoned its plans after gay rights groups protested against the experiment.

The zoo's director Heike Kueck said: "Everyone can live here as they please."

Kueck said it was never their intention to separate the couples by force and even if it was their intention, it wouldn't be possible to make them be interested in their new female companions.

Gay groups had earlier protested against "the organised and forced harassment through female seductresses" in an open letter to Bremerhaven's Mayor.

NEW YORK, Dec. 24 (UPI) -- Some U.S. stores have recorded a holiday-season rise in 'shopdropping,' the act of taking items to stores and leaving them on the shelves.

The practice, also known as reverse-shoplifting, is sometimes used to convey a religious or political message -- such as religious flyers inserted into gay and lesbian publications and anti-consumerist dolls planted on shelves -- and other times can be used as a means of promotion, The New York Times reported Monday.

Jason Brody, lead singer for independent pop-punk band The Death of Jason Brody, said his band has spent the holiday shopping season putting stickers for big-name designers, including Diesel, John Varvatos and 7 for All Mankind, on their CDs and hiding them in the pockets of jeans or on counters at major retailers.

"Bloomingdale's and 7 for All Mankind present the Death of Jason Brody, our pick for New York band to watch in 2008," read a sticker on a CD placed on a Bloomingdale's counter. "As thanks for trying us on, we're giving you this special holiday gift."

Scott Wolfson, a spokesman for the federal Consumer Product Safety Commission, said he was unsure about the legality of shopdropping but it could raise safety concerns if the products don't meet federal safety standards and labeling

A man and a little boy entered a barbershop together. After the man received the full treatment - shave, shampoo, manicure, haircut, etc. - he placed the boy in the chair.

"I'm goin' to buy a green tie to wear for the parade," he said. "I'll be back in a few minutes."

When the boy's haircut was completed and the man still hadn't returned, the barber said, "Looks like your Daddy's forgotten all about you."

"That wasn't my daddy," said the boy. "He just walked up, took me by the hand and said, 'Come on, son, we're gonna get a free haircut!'"

ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. —  A woman stabbed her husband with a kitchen knife following an argument that began when she accused him of opening a Christmas present early, authorities said Friday.

Misty Johnson, 34, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and battery, a felony, and misdemeanor domestic battery. Her husband, Shawn Fay Johnson, 34, was treated at a hospital for a wound to the chest, police said.

Misty Johnson made an initial court appearance Thursday in which she requested a court-appointed attorney, authorities said. She was released after posting bail, which was set at $7,500.

There was no telephone listing for her in Rock Springs.

Authorities said Shawn Johnson called 911 just before 1 a.m. Wednesday to report that his wife had stabbed him. He told police that his wife started arguing with him over his opening a Christmas present, according to court records.

As the argument escalated, Misty Johnson accused her husband of having an affair, authorities said. Police found a marriage license in the couple's apartment stating they were married in late September.

Police Detective David Thompson said he didn't know what the present was, or if it was intended for the husband.
